ALL ABOUT JCS!
MOTTO
Family:
Our student body is comprised of approximately 400 students from PK-2 through 12th grade. One of our goals is to provide a higher level of education to any student who desires academic excellence, while maintaining a close, familial environment in which students can develop academically, socially, and personally.
Faith:
JCS believes that the purpose of education is to teach our students to respect others, to prepare for their future as Christians in the world, to teach them to live according to Christian values, and to develop them into future good citizens. The character values we emphasize at JCS include the following: patience, compassion, humility, solidarity, perseverance, forgiveness, self-control, honesty, and responsibility.
Future:
The students of JCS receive instruction according to the rigorous academic standards of the Engage NY Common Core (U.S.A.) and the Dominican Ministry of Education curriculum. In this way, our students will be prepared for university, whether in the Dominican Republic or in the United States.
Our small class sizes allow teachers to develop lesson plans according to the academic needs of each student to provide an effective learning environment.

heritage
Jarabacoa Christian School (JCS) was founded June 12, 2000 by Dr. Philip Redwine as a gift to the people of Jarabacoa. JCS was approved by the President of the Dominican Republic on August 4, 2000. JCS is a private, non-profit, college preparatory Christian school. JCS provides the highest quality, American-style education that our resources will permit. JCS seeks to provide the opportunity for its students to come to the knowledge of Jesus Christ as their personal savior. JCS began in 2000 by offering elementary level schooling but we have grown tremendously and since the school year beginning August 2007, we have offered a complete education from preschool (PK-2) through elementary and middle school, all the way up to 12th grade, after which the students graduate from high school.

parents ASSOCIATION
The JCS Parents' Association is a group of JCS families and friends who represent the parents of the students at JCS. They aim to foster a sense of community among the families that choose JCS by holding regular meetings to give them a space to have their voices heard and by hosting events to bring together the students and their families. To join the association, contact Carleny, the current president, at +1 829 913-1871
STUDENT COUNCIL
The student council is the voice of the students at JCS. Each year, every class in middle and high school elects a class president to act as their representative on the student council and then the whole school elects the overall student body president. The president organizes student council meetings once a month to hear all of the issues from each class and report them to the school's leadership team. We have made many changes based on their suggestions so highly encourage all students to share their ideas through the council.
